  • Greg is a business owner, specialist consultant, standards evangelist, writer and teacher.
  • He’s Managing Consultant at Greg Jeffreys Consulting Ltd (GJC) and co-owner of Visual Displays Ltd (VDL).
  • GJC is a specialist consultancy involved in standards, hybrid meeting and teaching space design, displays etc.
  • VDL is a specialist manufacturer and distributor in projection and displays, Greg was Chairman of AVIXA (InfoComm) in 2012, serving on the board for seven years.
  • He led AVIXA’s standards group until early 2023, has led or co-written AVIXA standards including DISCAS and ISCR, and is working on AVIXA’s new AV User UX (User Experience) standard.
  • Greg has several children and his hobbies include teasing them.


Mina Patel
Executive Director
Video Conferencing for Learning (VCFL)

  • Mina has supported video conferencing for education in the UK for over 15 years.
  • She is currently the chair of the National VC Education Group (NVCEG) working for the LB of Redbridge as Online Safety and VC lead for schools.
  • She Co-ordinates the Global VC Development Group (GVCEG).
  • As an education consultant working in the East of London, she completed her MSc in Technology Enhanced Learning, focusing on video conferencing technology implementation across a whole school. 
  • As the founder and Executive Director of Video Conferencing for Global Learning delivering English classes to children across the globe, VCfGL, won an AV Award in 2017 for Breakthrough Company of the Year, for their remote teaching to children in South America.
  • Prior to this Mina was the founder and former chair of the UK VC partnerships group where she worked with advisors across the UK to put together broadband guidelines for the Department of Education to support VC technology in schools whilst working in partnership with JISC (UK).
  • Mina is a TEDx speaker and her talk, “Rise of the Global Teacher” describes her vision for the future of education led through video conference.
  • Mina’s work has involved her initiating and delivering global projects, connecting classrooms and experts in remote locations in Brazil, Tanzania, France, Croatia and content providers from Australia and Indonesia and beyond.
